COSLPromoter sail away

The delivery documents for COSLPromoter were signed 14 May 2012 and COSLPromoter was formally handed over to COSL Drilling Europe

15 May 2012 COSLPromoter left Yantai and started the long journey back to Norway. The rig left the quay in beautiful weather conditions and witnessed by Owner, Builder, Class, Vendors and Client. This event concludes the trilogy of CDE rigs ordered in the period 2005 – 2007. COSLPromoter will leave for Norway and will after a Yard stay in Ølen start the work for Statoil on the Troll field.

COSLPromoter arrived Singapore WOPL (western outside port limit) at 0500 hours LT in the morning of 29 May 2012.

Singapore straits advisor were dispatched to the rig and the crew safely navigated through a maze of anchored and moving vessels to a free spot where they rendezvoused with a waiting fuel tanker and a cargo barge. The fuel tanker was moored safely on portside of the rig and the 90 meter cargo barge was safely moored on starboard side.

The rig departed Singapore WOPL at 1900 hours LT on 30 May 2012, heading for Mauritius, POB 115.
