COSL Drilling Europe AS is a subsidiary to China Oilfield Services Limited, Beijing, China. COSL Drilling Europe AS is located in Stavanger, Norway.

COSL Drilling Europe AS owns two accommodation rigs, COSLRigmar and COSLRival, both operating on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) on long term contracts for ConocoPhillips.

Currently the company has three semi submersible drilling units under construction at Yantai Raffles Shipyard, at Yantai. COSL Drilling Europe has a mission to build and operate fit for purpose semi submersible drilling units and provide world class offshore drilling and well operations anywhere in the world. We will provide exploration, exploitation and increased oil recovery operations in offshore regions anywhere our clients may require. COSL will take delivery of the first rig COSLPioneer in 2010, and the unit will be ready for operations in European waters early 2011.

COSLInnovator and COSLPromoter both have firm contracts with StatoilHydro on the Troll Field. The fixed contract period for each of these rigs is 8 years plus 8 x 1 year options. Start-up for these contracts are scheduled to be respectively 2010 and 2011.

New CEO/ President The Board of Directors of COSL Drilling Europe AS has today announced that Mr. Jørgen Arnesen will be the new CEO/President of CDE starting from 26 May 2010. Read more
